Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150-2192 in the areas of: Specialty: Heat, Air Conditioning, Ventilation duct work and Refrigeration. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S. 38:2212(A)(1)(a). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA R.S. 38:2214.All bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates. The form of this security shall be as stated in the Instruction to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond written as described in the Instruction to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(2), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in the advertisement for bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity. PROJECT SUMMARY The base bid includes the demolition of one existing water-cooled chiller and associated cooling tower. Existing underground condenser water piping will remain, but above ground condenser water piping in the central plant will be replaced. Contractor will provide and install a new water-cooled chiller, cooling tower, condenser water pump, chilled water pump, air and direct elimination system, pot chemical feeder and expansion tank as indicated in the project documents. Contractor will make all electrical and piping modifications as indicated in the drawings and as required to accommodate the new equipment. The base bid will also include replacement of chilled water and condenser water piping in the central plant for both chillers as indicated. A bid alternate will be provided to replace the second chiller and cooling tower. Deadline to Receive Inquiries: 7/20/2022 Deadline to Respond to Inquiries: 7/25/2022
