SR A1A Streetscape Improvement Project

As of November 23, 2022 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on December 6, 2022. This project is located on State Road (SR) A1A between the South Beach Parking Lot Entrance (near SE 5th Street) and Sunrise Boulevard, in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The project is located in a coastal environment and in a high-profile destination for local residents, tourists, and citizens of Fort Lauderdale. The purpose of the project is to enhance pedestrian lighting and safety and to create a signature hardscape pattern at the intersection of Las Olas Boulevard and SR A1A. The work to be accomplished under this contract includes, but is not limited to, landscape, hardscape, site furnishing, and pedestrian lighting improvements. The main improvement for the project is pedestrian lighting which will be installed on the west side of SR A1A within the project limits. The west side of SR A1A is lined with restaurants, retail, condominiums, and hotels. Safe access to the building entrances and safe pedestrian movement along SR A1A shall be maintained during construction. Notice to bidder: Funding for this project requires all electrical work be completed by December 31, 2022. The bidder is advised of this project need and must plan and coordinate all activity to meet the required electrical components completion date of December 31, 2022.
