Jackson County Emergency Management Facade Repairs and Roof Replacement

Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of Certified Check, Cashier's Check or acceptable Bid Bond, Payable to Jackson County Board of Supervisors, in amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the base bid; such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who may be awarded the contract but who fails tocarry out the terms of the proposal, execute the contract and post-performance bond in the form and amount within the time specified. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Board of Supervisors' Board Room in the Jackson County Services Complex. Bids received after the noticed date and time for submittal will not be considered but will be returned to the bidder unopened. Contractor shall pay to Owner, as liquidated damages, a sum of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and 00/100 Cents ($250.00) per day, for each calendar day of delay for the Project and or until the actual date of Substantial Completion of the Project. Architect and engineer reserve the right to reject any unsuitable work. The Jackson County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids on any or all projects and to waive informalities.
