Leicester-Worcester Interconnection Pump Station

The project consists of the furnishing and installing of a prefabricated water booster pump station, complete with booster pumps, piping, appurtenances, instrumentation, panels, standby emergency generator, chemical feed pumps, electrical wiring and conduit, heaters, dehumidifiers, blowers, and all other related components. The project also consists of installing electrical service and conduit to the pump station, propane fuel tank and concrete pad, drywell, gravel surfacing, fencing, hydrants, and approximately 300 LF of water main. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The goals for this project are a minimum of 4.20 percent D/MBE participation and 4.50 percent D/WBE participation by certified DBEs. The major proposed work under this Contract includes: 1. Construction of: a. Prefabricated water booster pump station complete with pumps, piping, appurtenances, instrumentation, panels, standby emergency generator, chemical feed pumps, electrical wiring and conduit, heaters, dehumidifiers, and all related components; b. Electrical service, pole, transformer, and conduit to pump station site; c. Propane fuel tank and concrete equipment pad; d. Site improvements such as grading, gravel surfacing, installation of a site drywell and related drainage piping, fencing and gates; e. Water main with related valves, bends, appurtenances, and connection to proposed water main; and f. All other piping, site work, equipment systems, structures, instrumentation, control and electrical systems, as indicated on the Drawings. g. Other appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. 2. Demolition of: a. Existing bituminous curb to the extents shown on the Drawings for the proposed gravel drives; and b. All trees, stumps, and vegetation through clearing and grubbing as indicated on the drawings. B. Related Work Specified Elsewhere: 1. Coordination: Section 01050 2. Pre-Coatings Meeting (Section 03930) c. Pre-Instrumentation Meeting (Section 13410) d. Pre-Electrical Meeting (Section 16010) C. Removals, Relocations and Rearrangements 1. Examine the existing site for the work of all trades which will influence the cost of the work under the bid. This work shall include removals, relocations and rearrangements which may interfere with, disturb or complicate the performance of the work under the bid involving systems, equipment and related service lines, which shall continue to be utilized as part of the finished project. The Contractor is responsible for all coordination in this regard 2. Provide in the bid a sufficient amount to include all removals, relocations, rearrangements and reconnections herein specified, necessary or required to provide approved operation and coordination of the combined new and existing systems and equipment.
