Library - Masonry Restoration

Restore and re-point critical areas of the balustrades and cornice for the upper walls and parapet. Remove and re-set loose balustrades and stone work where loose and disbanded. Secure and re-point the balustrades and cornice. The cornice is to be power washed. The front roof center parapet wall, where bowing has occurred, is to be restored. Remove the brick work that has shifted and disbanded from the inner wall due to water and ice damage. Brick to be replaced with matching brick work. Rear window lintels are to be caulked and sealed using polyurethane sealants. The steel window lintels then need to be primed and painted to their former color. Restore, re-point, and preserve the stone to the front steps of the original steps. All mortar joints of the steps are to be routed. Where needed, re-set the stone steps where settling has occurred. Polyurethane sealants are to be used to seal the mortar joints.
