NASA Glenn Research Center- Architect Engineer Services

Set Aside for Partial Small Business. This contract will provide services for projects which include the preparation of conceptual engineering studies, facility building and infrastructure designs and master planning. Final designs typically include multi-discipline engineering and drafting, implementation planning & requirements, construction bid document preparation and cost estimating. The disciplines required include project management, architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering. This contract shall provide support for government cost estimates, preparation of schedules and field investigations. This contract shall also, as required by the task order, provide engineering support during construction including: responding to requests for information, review and approval of submittals, shop drawings, punch list items and as built drawing verification & preparation. The intent of this Statement of work is to define in broad terms the scope and technical services that may be requested under this Indefinite delivery, Indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. Technical requirements will be defined per task order. This contract will be available for use by all NASA centers nationwide. Specific expertise shall include architectural building systems, interior design, structures, pavements, site development, heating, ventilating and air conditioning, plumbing, fire protection (certified in the state of the NASA Center where the work is performed), sanitary and storm sewers, natural gas, low and high pressure steam, domestic water, chilled water, cooling tower water, process piping and controls, high voltage and low voltage electrical power distribution, electrical controls, and life safety systems. Some designs will require structural analyses, piping network flow analysis, piping flexibility analysis, electrical short circuit analysis, coordination studies, and hazard analysis. Other specialized services, such as environmental and geotechnical sampling, lightning protection, and BIM modeling will be required periodically.
