Description

Phase II engineering services are required for the preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimate of time for the reconstruction of I-70 from one mile east of I-57 to 2.1 miles east of the US 45 interchange to the Cumberland County line. Mainline I-70 will be rubblized and overlaid with approximately 11 ½” of HMA, to be determined by the consultant. Foreslopes will be adjusted to meet IDOT Bureau of Design & Environment policy. New underdrains will be installed. The entrance and exit ramps at Montrose will be resurfaced. It is anticipated that crossovers will be used for stage construction on this project. The consultant will be required to design the crossovers and prepare stage construction plans.
