Description

The City of North Port is requesting sealed bids to secure the services of an experienced, professional, licensed, and qualified Contractor capable of providing construction services in accordance with the Renovation of Lift Stations 29, 45 and 73. The City intends to select one Contractor for renovation project associated with a Community Development Block Grant that the City has received. This is a federally funded project under Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Subrecipient Agreement Number B-21-UC-12-0014. All HUD federal rules and regulations pertaining to this project are applicable. Federal Davis-Bacon Wage Rates for work classifications are specified and must be complied with. Fringe benefits must be added to the prevailing hourly rates where applicable. The types of renovation work anticipated includes furnishing and installing new pumps, panels, piping, valves, fitting as shown on the construction plans and specified herein. The project includes bypass pumping and installation of fencing. Please see specification 011000, Summary of Work, for a detailed description of the work for each station. The City of North Port reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole, or in part, for any reason whatsoever, to waive informalities and to award separate contracts for each individual items, or a single contract for all items, whichever is deemed most advantageous to the City. All bids shall include all federal, state and local taxes. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation.
