RFQ Construction Manager at Risk -New Academic & Athletic Building Expansion

UME Preparatory Academy, a Texas open-enrollment charter school, is issuing a Request for Qualifications for a CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk) to perform construction services on a project in Dallas, Texas involving an Academic and Athletic Activities Building. The School intends to evaluate responses in a two-step selection process in accordance with Sections 2269.301-.311 of the Texas Government Code. Deadline for responses to be submitted is November 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM CDT. The School reserves the right to reject any or all responses to this RFQ, to waive technicalities, to re-advertise or to proceed otherwise where in the best interest of the School. Responses should be submitted sealed and plainly marked: "Construction Manager at Risk - RFQ." Late responses will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. UME Preparatory Academy is seeking to add an approximately 45,000 square feet Athletic and Academic Building to the existing site and to their current campus. The target budget for the expansion and renovation is approximately $17,000,000. The Board of Directors has delegated to the Chief Executive Officer, authority to select the construction and procurement methodology, to determine evaluation/ranking criteria, to rank respondents, and to select the respondent that will provide best value to UME Preparatory Academy and to then negotiate a contract with the selected respondent. UME Preparatory Academy is requesting proposals from firms to provide construction services as a Construction Manager-At-Risk for the addition of additional space and improvements to the current campus in Dallas, Texas. Total Hard Cost Budget: $17,000,000
