| Description | The replacement of existing fire sprinkler heads throughout 16 buildings at the Shapiro Developmental Center located at 100 E. Jeffery Street, Kankakee, Illinois. The sprinkler heads must be a specific brand, Tyco TY3281 165F STD Chrome and Tyco TY3381 165F STD HSW Chrome, respectively. Shapiro Developmental Center recently had a 20-year quick response sprinkler head test performed on all buildings in accordance to NFPA 25 Section 5.3.1.3. The results of this test concluded that it was necessary to replace the failed heads in several locations throughout the facility. All the heads that failed and that need to be replaced are institutional quick response heads that are either pendant or sidewall. |
