Demolitions

The description of the demolition work is as follows (all properties listed below include demolition of both front and garage structures unless noted): Address: 964 Summer Street aka 5614 Howard (Rear) 1244 Indiana Street 4712 Hohman Ave. aka 4714 Hohman Ave. 5213 Hohman Ave. 2405 Calumet Ave. Demolition of existing structure, including foundations, garages, outbuildings (unless specifically excluded) dead trees, and removal and disposal of all debris shall be done in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws as well as Building Code and other ordinances of the City of Hammond. Hammond Ordinances may be viewed online at portal. All basement floor areas shall be removed, all sewers shall be plugged at the first hub inside the property line, and all water lines shall be tied off and capped on the property side of the buffalo box. Said removal of buildings, equipment and material shall be cleared off within seven (7) days from the date of the issuance of the demolition permit. Filling in of the property shall be done by filling in the excavation with clean sand only and topping the excavation with four (4) inches of black soil and seeding the same with a suitable grass seed or sod.
