RFP D/B - Design and Production of Wayfinding Signs for the City of Del Rio

The City of Del Rio is interested in obtaining proposals from qualified firms to design, produce and install wayfinding signs. The City seeks an experienced and effective firm that minimizes City costs, maximizes the use of technology, provides excellent customer service, and provides a thorough proposal. The City would like to know what technologies are available to the vendor when designing and manufacturing signage. The City of Del Rio is interested in obtaining 3-D renderings of their designs that can be reviewed by a selected committee. If the submitter can produce signage with specific technology (i.e. Augmented reality, quick response codes, digital displays) they should include that information in the proposal. Vendor will provide the design and manufacturing once project has been awarded. Award will be made based on the evaluation criteria as stated in the RFP. This solicitation does not commit the City of Del Rio to award a contract, to pay any costs associated with the submission or preparation of any proposal submitted, or the procurement of the equipment listed. The City of Del Rio reserves the right to consider any other factors that it deems to be relevant to its needs. The City reserves the right to request additional information from an individual or to request all submitters to submit supplemental materials in fulfillment of the content requirements of this request for proposals (RFP) or to meet additional information needs of the City. The City also reserves the unilateral right to waive any technical or format requirements contained in the RFP. It is the responsibility of the submitter to ensure their sealed proposal is received by the City of Del Rio City Secretary's Office by the due date and time. Submittals received after the deadline shall be considered void and unacceptable. The City of Del Rio reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City. Proposals cannot be altered or amended after submission deadline. Any interlineation, alteration, or erasure made before opening by the City must be initialed by the signer of the proposal, guaranteeing authenticity. The scope of work covered by this RFP consists of providing the design and production of wayfinding signs for the City of Del Rio. Services according to these specifications shall commence at an agreed upon time by both parties to this agreement. Proposers will continue until termination of the agreement between the Proposer and the City. Selected firm will be responsible for all permitting and engineering for project. The City of Del Rio would prefer to work with one firm. The firm can subcontract portions of the project as long as they notify the City of Del Rio and the subcontracted firm meets the same requirements the selected firm needs to meet. The City will develop a listing of desired locations once proposals are received and a committee has been formed. The City of Del Rio would like to complete this project within the initial 12-24 months once a vendor is selected.
