Description | This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) NOTICE FOR CONSTRUCTION FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. Project Title: Replace Steam and Condensate at Wilmington VAMC THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY NOR REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RESPONDING TO THIS REQUEST. THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS NOTICE. The following information is provided to conduct market research to determine the availability of vendors (large and small businesses) that can perform the work for a project at the Wilmington VA Medical Center Replace Steam and Condensate at Wilmington VAMC. After completion of market research analyses, the Government will determine whether to limit competition among the small business or proceed with full and open competition as other than small business. Work to be Performed: This project entails the complete removal and replacement of our existing underground steam and condensate distribution piping while maintaining necessary systems for a continuously operational VA Medical Center. For steam piping, this is defined as including all the steam header valves in the Boiler Plant, including all underground distribution piping, up to and including pressure reducing valves in Buildings 1 (2 locations), 6, 10, 13, 15, and 17. For condensate piping, this is defined as including condensate pumps in Buildings 1 (2 locations), 6, 10, 13, 15, and 17, all underground distribution piping, up to and including the condensate receiver tank in Building 7. Contractor is to disregard all required construction for: North Leg Piping: New piping between Building ONE and Building FIVE (ST-11 and ST-12) removed from project. See M101 and M102. (NIC). The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision as necessary to accomplish the work. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Specifications and Drawings, and shall follow all applicable Federal, State and Local regulations and standards. All work shall be completed within 270 days of Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000.000.00. Contractors that can perform the work for this project are requested to respond with a statement of interest, brief capability statement, and pricing for completed projects of similar scope. Be sure to address if you would perform the work as a prime contractor, joint venture, VA Mentor-Protege Program, or potential teaming partners. Respondents shall provide company name and address, UEI (SAM) number. Provide business type and size standard based on NAICS code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction (i.e., Large Business, Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Women-Owned, etc.). Include in subject line 36C244-23-Q-0166 | Replace Steam and Condensate at Wilmington VAMC.
