Description

**As of June 1, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** City of Bridgeport (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Water Line Crossing The Project includes the following Work: The project consists of upgrading the City of Bridgeport's water line between the west side of I79 and Taco Bell on Emily Drive to 12-inch pipe. Pipe installation methods include trenching, bore & jack, and horizontal directional drill. The Work will be substantially completed within 90 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run, and completed and ready for final payment within 120 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 per day. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to City of Bridgeport in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with WV Code 21- 1D-5. All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor's License per Section 30-42-12 of the West Virginia Code. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. The City of Bridgeport reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents will be transmitted to the prospective Bidder. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method requested. Bidding Documents are available for purchase in the following formats: Bidding Documents issued as hard copy half-size drawings and hard copy specifications, are available for $60.00 per set. Bidding Documents issued as digital drawings and digital specifications, are available for $40.00 per set via electronically. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
