Description

The project work site will be at various locations within the Town of Niskayuna as follows: Water Treatment Plant - 1300 Lock 7 Road, Niskayuna, NY., Joint Project Pump Station - 1323 Balltown Road, Niskayuna, NY., Water District No. 3 Pump Station - 1088 Balltown Road, Niskayuna, NY., Water Storage Tank Site - 2442 Jaffrey Street, Niskayuna, NY. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including but not necessarily limited to the following: Upgrades to the existing fluoride, poly-orthophosphate, and chlorine gas chemical storage and feed systems at the water treatment plant. Instrumentation upgrades at the water treatment plant, pump stations, and water storage tank site. Miscellaneous piping modifications at the water treatment plant and pump stations. Installation of light gauge steel and concrete masonry unit partition walls at the water treatment plant. Retrofitting of new doors and louvers at the water treatment plant. Replacement of existing electrical distribution equipment at the water treatment plant and pump stations. Replacement of existing control panels and Supervisory Control and Data and Acquisition (SCADA) system equipment at the water treatment plant and pump stations. Installation of fiberoptic cabling at the water treatment plant. Radio telemetry upgrades at the pump stations. Installation of power and control wiring and conduit for new and existing electrical devices, instrumentation, and electrical distribution equipment at the water treatment plant, pump stations, and water storage tank site. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid in accordance with the Instructions To Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or Conditional Bids.
