Work is located approximately 15 miles northwest of Havre, Montana, in Hill County. Principle features of work include the following: o Clearing, grubbing, and stripping of embankment and borrow areas o Installing and operating dewatering and unwatering systems to support stable excavation slopes and embankment and filter construction o Excavating existing dam embankment o Constructing new vertical sand trench using a biopolymer-supported trench o Furnishing and installing geotextile o Furnishing and installing new sand filter and gravel drain o Constructing cast-in-place concrete or furnishing precast support bases for toe drain inspection wells o Furnishing and installing HDPE toe drainpipes, inspection wells, and cleanouts o Excavating, screening, and delivering borrow material for embankment buttress fill o Constructing new embankment buttress fill o Furnishing and installing flumes and weir boxes o Restoring all ground disturbance within construction use area o Furnishing and placing asphalt pavement along crest of dam and areas of Fresno Reservoir Road damaged from hauling activities.
