Description | The Maryland Military Department (MMD or Department) is soliciting bids to procure the following: A Contractor to provide all labor, materials, and supplies necessary to provide preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs for Elevators as per the specifications stated below for a two (2) year period at Maryland Military Department (MMD) Warfield ANG Base, 2701 Eastern Blvd, Middle River, MD 21220. Term of Service: January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025 MMD reserves the right to procure services to bring the elevator to proper operating condition within an acceptable time frame. The Department reserves the right to test any materials, equipment, supplies, or services delivered to determine if the specifications have been met. Unless otherwise stated in the specifications, materials listed in the bid or proposal shall be delivered FOB the point or points specified prior to or on the date specified in the bid or proposal. Any material that is defective or fails to meet the terms of the solicitation specifications shall be rejected. Rejected materials shall be promptly replaced. The Contractor shall maintain the elevator to pass MD Department of Labor Licensing and Regulations (DLLR) for elevator re-certification inspection. If the Contractor learns of defects/inadequacies of elevator elements, including smoke alarms and generators, which are the sole responsibilities of MMD, that are not the Contractor's responsibilities, the Contractor must notify the Contract Manager. The Contractor shall be capable of performing elevator recall tests in conjunction and coordination with the State hired fire protection services on an annual basis. The MMD Contract Manager's responsibility is to coordinate simultaneous elevator inspections and the fire equipment services on an annual basis.
