Description | Proposals must included 1. Update/Repair the mixing wall to provide correct control of recirculated tempered or hot water throughout the detention center and courthouse- including all areas in the jail 2. Repair and or replace the main water line in the mixing wall area. 3. Replace the older of two hot water heaters; including seismic strapping 4. Miscellaneous items that come up in the pre bid meeting. 5. Provide a plan to maintain safe and sanitary working conditions for the courthouse and detention center during the work or installation. 6. Provide 2 year warranty on labor and 10 year on products 7. Obtain all building permits required to complete job 8. Provide an as built mechanical drawing Bidders must schedule a pre-bid meeting by contacting Shawn Fugit, at 435-259-1314, sfugit@grandcountyutah.net. Any request for clarification or additional information deemed necessary by any respondent to present a proper bid shall be made by contacting Shawn Fugit, Facilities Supervisor, (435) 259-1314 sfugit@grandcounyutah.net. To be considered, any such request must be received in time to allow the County sufficient time to prepare and disseminate a written response. When appropriate, valid requests received in accordance with the foregoing will be responded to in writing from the County in the form of an addendum addressed to all prospective respondents. All bids submitted shall be binding upon the respondent if accepted by Grand County within ninety (90) calendar days of the bid submission date. Negligence upon the part of the respondent in preparing the bid confers no right of withdrawal after the time fixed for the submission of bids. A performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. A payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price to serve as protection of all persons or companies supplying labor and/or material to the contractor or its subcontractors for the performance of the contract. Grand County reserves the right to disqualify incomplete bids, waive minor defects as it deems applicable in the written bids, to request additional information from any respondent, change or modify the scope of the project at any time without penalty, negotiate terms with one or more of the respondents, reject any or all bids without penalty, and take any steps necessary to act in the Countys best interest. The County also reserves the unilateral right to order, in writing, changes in the work within the scope of the contract and changes in the time of performance of the contract that do not alter the scope of the contract work. |
