Bayfront Street Scape and Parking Improvements

Phase 1 of this project consists of approximately 2,035 linear feet of roadway construction on Bayfront Park Drive. The proposed work will require the demolition of the existing roadway, as well as the addition of curbing, sidewalk, a traffic calming device, stormwater inlets/piping, water/sewer relocates, and landscaping. The project includes the addition of on street parking and an additive alternate for pervious pavement has been included (parking & traffic calming device only). Shared driveway concrete turnouts are proposed for lots without existing access. Phase 2 of this project is an alternate and consists of approximately 315 linear feet of new roadway that provides a “cut-through” on the west side of Moe’s BBQ that will connect Bayfront Park Drive to the rear parking area behind the Mobile Infirmary medical building. On street parking is also proposed for this phase and it includes an additive alternate for pervious pavement (parking only).
