South Avenue and Route 5 and 20 Water System Improvements Contract #1: General

The proposed improvements consist of the replacement of approximately 1,500 linear feet of 8" water main, valves, hydrants and appurtenances along portions of South Avenue and NYS RTE 5 & 20 within the Village of Bloomfield. Project Location: South Avenue and RTE 5 & 20 Water System Sealed Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. In accordance with Section 101.5. of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, Bidders shall submit with its bid a separate sealed list that names each subcontractor that the bidder will use to perform work on the contract, and the agreed-upon amount to be paid to each, for: (a) plumbing and gas fitting, (b) steam heating, hot water heating, ventilating and air conditioning apparatus and (c) electric wiring and standard illuminating fixtures. If the CD is to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder's active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs.For a non-refundable fee, printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Avalon Planroom. If the documents are to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder's active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs. The Bidding Documents must be obtained through the Avalon Planroom in order to be considered a Plan Holder of record. Bidding Documents obtained from any other source are for examination only, are not considered complete and are not valid for bidding purposes. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Village of Bloomfield, nor Engineer, nor Avalon will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The Village of Bloomfield, Ontario County, New York, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award. Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract.
