Description | Reference Number 0000325452 Bid - Providing labor and materials to clean and repaint the exterior of the North Salem Town Hall. The Town Hall was built circa 1760 and was last painted in 2007. Job Location 266 Titicus Road Question Acceptance Deadline 07/26/2023 10:00 AM EDT Questions are submitted online No General Requirements - Certified Payroll - Insurance Required - Prevailing Wage Required Bids shall be made on the separate Bid Proposal Forms and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond acceptable to the Town or a certified cashier's check drawn on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. Checks shall be made payable to the Town of North Salem, and are to be held by the Town as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof. In default of such execution and delivery of Contract and Bonds, the amount of the deposit represented by the check shall be forfeited to and retained by the Town of North Salem as liquidated damages. The Town of North Salem reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to award the Contract to other than the lowest Bidder if deemed in the best interest of the Town to do so The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment required for the complete execution of all painting work (including power washing the exterior) specified herein, as described in the scope of work and as reasonably inferred to be performed on the Town building. All surfaces specified to be painted shall be dry and cleaned free of all dirt, grit, grease, mold, mildew, foreign substances and all loose, peeling, blistering, chalking or scaling paint. All existing good paint can be encapsulated/covered by new paint. The painting of the building will consist of two (2) new coats of paint on all surfaces. Exposed wood surfaces shall be provided with a primer coat prior to the first and second coat. The handicap ramp shall receive two (2) coats of grit paint. There are also four areas requiring wood and metal flashing work that needs to be repaired as discussed in this document prior to painting. Bid Result.
