Intel Silicone Heartland Chip Factory Development - Phase 1

Plans call for the construction of a $20 billion manufacturing complex on nearly 1,000 acres. Phase 1 will consist of 2.5 million square feet of factory space, including 600 thousand square feet of cleanrooms. Further scope and phasing information has not been released. As of May, 2023,, excavation work has been completed and foundation concrete is being poured for Phase 1. A timeline for vertical construction has not been established as of yet.* *This development is being funded by the CHIPS Act.
