Description | Replacement of 17 existing roof top, gas fired, HVAC units to include removal and replacement of single ply membrane roofing as required and to remove and replace the existing HVAC units. Remove and replacement of existing gas valves and gas supply lines to the new units and the new rooftop exterior ducting. Replacement of existing supply air registers and acoustical ceiling tile around existing registers, duct cleaning, and new controls. Includes minor adjustments of duct replacement due to existing interior improvements. Controls system replacement. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form provided by the District and included in the bid documents. Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to this Notice Inviting Bids, the Instructions for Bidders, and other Contract Documents. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Except as provided in Public Contract Code Section 5100 et seq., no bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the opening of the bids. DVBE: This bid is NOT subject to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise requirements but encouraged. Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids. District is required to have 3% percentage each year. Bidder must provide a DVBE prime or subcontractor at 3% or complete the Good Faith Efforts package. All paperwork due at time of bid. Each bid must be submitted with security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, if awarded to the bidder, and will provide the performance and payment bonds, insurance certificates and other documents described in the Contract Documents. Such security must be in one of the following forms: (1) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (2) a certified check made payable to the District; or (3) a bond made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Any bond must have been issued by a California- admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120 The class(es) of California contractor's license(s) required in order to bid on and perform the contract for this Project is: B The successful bidder will be required to provide both a performance bond and a separate payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount.
