Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA has a requirement to Replace Underground Storage Tanks, Project 693-20-109. The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not necessarily be limited to, providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, testing, inspections and reports required to replace the underground fuel oil storage tank system for the boiler plant at this Medical Center. The existing underground storage tank system is antiquated and beyond its useful life expectancy. The intent of this project is to remove and replace the existing underground fuel tanks, piping, associated mechanical and electrical equipment, controls and monitoring systems, concrete pavement and containment dikes. Work will include above and below ground demolition, earthwork, exterior improvements, utilities, concrete, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. The work will also include site surveys, permits, testing and inspections. Refer to the PA DEP website for detailed requirements associated with the underground storage tank system installations.
