Description

The project scope includes removal and rebuilding an approximately 10-foot-high retaining wall, removal, and replacement of approximately 150-feet of metal culvert and replace with approximately 150- feet of corrugated plastic culvert in the approximate same location. A 25-foot (+/-) section of corrugated metal culvert must be removed and replaced from underneath Little Rutland Road at the project site. The project area is congested, and although a large excavator can be used to work on the culvert that runs beneath the road, access to the property at 270 Little Rutland Road is difficult, therefore making it difficult to use large pieces of equipment. To access the property to excavate the majority of the existing corrugated metal culvert, including removal from the property, may have to be done using small machines. The project will conclude with reclamation of the lawn area, stone wall at the edge of Lake Bomoseen, and topsoil and seeding areas that were excavated or damaged during the project.
