Description

Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities and equipment, material and/or supply needs. Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids are expected to be funded in whole or in part by anticipated funds from the Water Pollution Control Revolving Loan Fund (WPCRLF) loan program from the State of Mississippi. Neither the State of Mississippi, the Commission on Environmental Quality nor any of their employees is or will be a party to this invitation for bids or any resulting or related contracts. This procurement will be subject to all applicable sections of the Mississippi Code of 1972, Annotated. WPCRLF Project # SRF-280786-03 WGK#: 2021-409-00 The OWNER's goal for minority-owned business participation as a percentage of construction cost is 3.6%. The OWNER's goal for women-owned business participation is 2.1%. -the reconstruction of existing sewer lines by forming a new pipe within an existing deteriorated pipe, which has generally maintained its original shape. The process is defined as the reconstruction of sewer lines by installation of a thermosetting resin impregnated flexible felt fiber tube, coated on one side with polyurethane, which is installed into the existing sewer line utilizing a water column. -consists of the construction and installation with all appurtenances and items associated -consist of preparing the ground surface, furnishing and applying fertilizer and lime, furnishing and sowing grass seeds, furnishing and placing grass sod on prepared areas, finishing, compacting, watering, establishing and repairing same, installing straw hay bales, silt fence and diversion berms to minimize erosion ofsoil in accordance with these SPECIFICATIONS The following renovation efforts, which are discussed in the following subsections, shall be required on the existing wastewater treatment plant: 1. Install new baffles with posts where indicated on plans. Install additional posts as recommended by manufacturer in lagoon to stabilize baffles and prevent leakage at baffle intersection. 2. Install Bio-reactors in polishing lagoon cells in pattern shown on plans. Each reactor to be fed by one air hose. 3. Install aeration manifold, header, distribution junction boxes and electrical control wire per plans. 4. Install new concrete slab with housekeeping pads and two blowers. Install "carport" style cover over blower pad. 5. Install four sonic algae-control devices to reduce algae growth as shown on plans. 6. Install blower control panel and electrical improvements as shown on plans. 7. Install floating aerators and electrical improvements as shown on plans. 8. Install two pumps in North Lagoon Influent wet well. 9. Install two pumps in South Lagoon Influent wet well. Completion- 240 consecutive calendar
