Wastewater Collection System Rehabilitation Cured in Place Pipe Project 2022

Scope of Service: the Rehabilitation of Deteriorated Wastewater Collection Mains and Laterals Using the Cured-in- Place Pipe (Cipp) Process to Correct Structural Defects and to Reduce Inflow /infiltration. Deadline for Questions or Exceptions: All Questions or Exceptions Regarding This Project Must Be Submitted No Later Than Noon 12:00p.m.(Cst) on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Any Questions and/or Exceptions Pertaining to This Project, Specifications and Bid Documents Must Be Sent in Writing via Email to Christian Janes@Cjanes@lafayettela.gov. All Exceptions and Questions Affecting the Project, Specifications or Bid Documents, Shall Be Addressed in the Form of an Addendum and Will Be Sent to All Bidders on Record. No Verbal Correspondence Will Be Binding. All Work to Be Completed Within 180 Calendar Days From the Issuance of Notice to Proceed. Bidders Wishing to Submit Their Bid Electronically Must First Be Registered Online With Lafayette Consolidated Government as a Potential Supplier at the Website Listed Above. Bidders Submitting Bids Electronically Are Requested to Provide the Same Documents as Bidders Submitting Through the Mail as Soon as Available. Only a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check Shall Be Submitted as the Bid Security. Electronic Copies of Both the Front and Back of the Check or Bid Bond Shall Be Included With the Electronic Bid. At the Time of the Bid Date, Attendees Shall Be Required to Comply With Requirements Mandated by Lafayette Consolidated Government Regarding Covid 19 Procedures and Policies. Bids Must Be Signed in Accordance With Lrs Title 38:2212 (B)5. A Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority Authorizing the Person Signing the Bid is Required to Be Submitted With Bid. Failure to Submit a Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority With the Bid Shall Be Cause for Rejection of Bid. Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond Payable to the Lafayette Consolidated Government, the Amount of Which Shall Be Five Percent (5%) of the Base Bid Plus Additive Alternates. If a Bid Bond is Used, It Shall Be Written by a Surety or Insurance Company Currently on the U.s. Bidders or Firms Submitting Bids in the Amount of $50,000.00 or More Shall Certify That They Are Licensed Contractors Under Chapter 24 of Title 37 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 and Show Their License Number on the Front of the Sealed Envelope in Which Their Bid is Enclosed. Contractors Shall Be Licensed for the Classification of "Municipal and Public Works Construction". Bids in the Amounts Specified Above Which Have Not Bid in Accordance With the Requirements, Shall Be Rejected and Shall Not Be Read. Purchasing Division Lafayette Consolidated Government The work shall consist of the rehabilitation of deteriorated wastewater collection mains and laterals using the cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) process to correct structural defects and to reduce inflow/infiltration. It will include all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to control or eliminate infiltration/inflow which now enters the sewer system and to correct structural problems at various locations throughout the city, (See map drawings attached). This contract is for a period of 6 months. Work to be performed will consist of but not limited to, repair of leaking and/or defective main lines of the wastewater collection system. The work performed under this contract will be performed citywide, as shown on map drawings.
