Description | This project involves: A. Base Bid: 5,200 linear feet of cured-in-place structural Class IV lining of the existing 12-inch cast iron watermain, located along Miracle Mile, Lebanon, NH including replacement of 950 linear feet with 12” Ductile Iron Pipe watermain, replacement of portions of 1”, 2” and 8” water services and water gate valves and hydrants, and other appurtenances. B. Bid Alternative No. 1: 6,150 linear feet of replacement 12-inch Ductile Iron Pipe watermain, located along Miracle Mile, replacement of portions of 1”, 2” and 8” water services and water gate valves and hydrants, and other appurtenances. C. Water construction is intended to include such items as providing and maintaining temporary water service, trench excavation, ledge removal, furnishing and installing bedding and backfill, pipe, valves, fittings, hydrants, rigid insulation, removal of existing structures and pipes to be abandoned, maintenance of service, installing house services, connecting to existing facilities, testing, and disinfection, backfilling and compaction, compaction testing, and other related tasks as indicated in the Drawings and Specifications. D. Roadway Improvements along Miracle Mile shall consist of 1,800 tons of temporary trench hot bituminous pavement, 23,100 square yards of full width roadway cold planning (milling), and 3,500 tons of 1” shim and 1.5” wearing course hot bituminous pavements including lowering and raising structures, dust control, 25,000 linear feet of retroreflective paint markings, sidewalk replacement and resetting granite curbing and all related miscellaneous work E. The Contractor shall either bury temporary water lines under roads, driveways, sidewalks, etc., or provide skid plates, ramps, or another type of protective measure to maintain the integrity of the lines and to allow for normal passage of vehicle and foot traffic. |
