Obstruction Removal

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked Bid Enclosed: Obstruction Removal Apalachicola Regional Airport. The project generally includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following tasks: Tree Removal within the areas identified in the Bid Documents. Bid security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid must be submitted with the bid. The bid security may be either a certified check or a proposal guaranty bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida. Bid security shall be made payable to the Franklin County. The successful bidder must be able to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and shall begin execution of this contract within five (5) calendar days following the date of the Notice to Proceed. Franklin County has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for this project. The DBE participation goal for this project is 6.96% and compliance requirements are listed in the bidding documents. Funding for this project is being provided by the Florida Department of Transportation. The Franklin County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies and to accept any bid that it may deem to be in the best interest of the County. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of 120 calendar days following the bid opening.
