Description

Sealed bids will be received for the following contract: 1. Overall Single Prime (all of the work) C. One (1) Original and (1) copy of the Bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Mr. Peter Starrs, Business Administrator and shall be identified on the outside of the package (outside of mailing package if mailed) with the following: Bid for Bridge Replacement at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School. All technical questions, comments, and inquiries should be directed to Solutions Architecture; the last day for questions is May 19th, 2023. G. Bids shall be made on the Forms of Proposal provided and must be accompanied by bid security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. H. Each bidder shall submit with its bid, a Certificate of Consent of Surety as per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25 from a Surety company stating that it will provide the bidder and all subcontractors, if successful, with a performance/payment bond in the full amount of the contract. I. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. N.J.S.A. 18A:-18A-36(a). J. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informality in the bidding if it is in the best interest of the Owner to do so and to award contracts only to those whose proposal is deemed by the Owner to be most advantageous to the interest of the public. K. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements of employment and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contracts pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. L. Pursuant to the "Public Works Contractor Registration Act" (P.L. 1999, c.238), bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development. M. Bidders must comply with the requirements of "The Law Against Discrimination," set forth at N.J.S.A. 10:2-1, et seq., and Affirmative Action, set forth at N.J.S.A. 10:5-31, et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq.
