Description

The work shall consist of the following; demolition of existing building and foundation, excavation and backfill, drainage, paving, foundation, lighting and electrical service, and construction of a 70-foot by 96-foot laminated wood arch building to contain approximately 3,300 cubic yards of material on Town owned property located at 570 Main Road, Holden, Maine. If you would like to visit the site please coordinate visits with the Town Manager, Ben Breadmore at 207-843-5151. Prospective bidders must register with Haley Ward for their bid to be considered. No Bid may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after receipt of Bids unless released by the Owner. Bids submitted without Bid Security and completed certification forms will not be considered. The successful Bidder shall perform the work and furnish a Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price with a corporate surety authorized to do business in the State of Maine and approved by the Owner. The Contractor shall guarantee all materials and equipment furnished and work performed for a period of one year from the date of substantial completion. The Performance Bond shall remain in full force and in effect through the guarantee period. The Town of Holden, Maine reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to accept any Bid that it may deem to be in its best interests, as Owner, to accept.
