Mechanical Backup Well Project Contract 2 - Well Field Improvements

The Village of Cohocton will receive sealed bids for the Village of Cohocton Mechanical Backup Well Project Contract 2 - Municipal Well Installation. All bidding questions or Requests for Information must be submitted by 5:00 pm on July 5, 2023. Base Bid: The project consists principally of providing a new mechanical backup groundwater well to replace an existing well. Work shall generally include: providing all equipment and labor necessary to drill to a depth of approximately +-100 feet; installing casing, well screen, cover, lock, and all other components of a complete drinking water well; grout seal; well development; and providing all temporary pumps, power, and any other component such that the Owner's hydrogeologist can perform all necessary water quality/yield testing as specified. The contractor shall furnish all temporary power required to perform the work. The Contract associated with the work contains MBE/WBE and EEO requirements. Minority and Women's Business Enterprises and Section 3 firms are encouraged to apply. This project is funded under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, as administered by the NYS Office of Community Renewal and is subject to the provisions of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, as amended and other CDBG Program regulations. Prospective bidders should review the CDBG requirements included in the contract documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and labor and material bonds in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. All bidding questions or Requests for Information must be submitted by 5:00 pm on July 5, 2023 The Village of Cohocton reserves the right to consider bids for forty-five (45) days after the receipt before awarding any contract. The Village of Cohocton further reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept any Proposal or individual item or items, which it may deem to be the most favorable to its best interests.
