Description | This is a roof replacement project; all work is performed in an existing building that is operational. Work consist of removal of all metal parapet copings, all flashings, downspouts and conductor boxes, re-cover the existing modified bitumen building roof with 60 mil TPO mechanically fastened membrane roofing system over 1" new polyiso rigid insulation, re-cover EPDM roof over loading covered area and building canopies with mechanically fastened 60 mil TPO membrane on 1/2 " H.D. cover board, etc. and installing a new flashings, conductor boxes, downspouts and attachments, concrete splashblocks, etc. The contract work will also include lifting recently installed RTU's and recovering all equipment curbs, paint of existing exposed steel elements located on top of roof and repair of existing EIFS adjacent to renovation work. Workspaces and employee parking lot shall be kept in clean order. Experience in roofing renovation work required. When applicable, the County shall obtain all rights of way and easements required for the project unless otherwise specified. Bids in the case of Corporations not chartered in Georgia, must be accompanied by proper certification stating that said Corporation is authorized to do business in the State of Georgia. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidder agrees to complete the Contract awarded within the "allowable calendar days for completion" from the date of the "Notice to Proceed" and further agrees that the Owner may retain from the monies which may become due the amount of $ per day for each and every day that the completion of the work may be delayed.Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-5 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificate of Authority and acceptable sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. All bonds must be submitted on forms provided by Gwinnett County and agencies providing bonds and insurance should provide proof that they meet the criteria outlined in the bid and contract documents.
