Description

The project consists of repairs to Tributary No. 1 to Reeder Point Branch. This portion of the stream is a concrete lined channel that has failed and has additional flooding due to damage in the channel. This project is to repair that channel and provide additional flood attenuation in the areas where the homes were previously removed under another project. The concrete channel will be removed and replaced with a vegetated channel reinforced with a permanent matting and a Flexterra hydroseed mulch to stabilize the channel. The west and east overbank will be excavated to provide flood storage to reduce the 100-year water surface elevation in the area. The stream is a FEMA studied stream in an AE zone with a BFE of 206.38 at cross section M (middle of the project) Pre-Bid Meeting: Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Visit on 03/16/2021 at 10:00 AM via Zoom.
