Water Distribution System Leak Detection

Providing water distribution system leak detection services within a specified area of the system. Proposals for four survey areas within the CWLP system are requested. The field team shall listen to all fire hydrants and main line valves within the survey areas. If distances between main valve and hydrant exceed 500 feet, additional listening points, such as services or other points shall be utilized. Two-man teams should be used at all times during the course of the project to help ensure safety and quality assurance. Leaks shall be clearly identified for both mains and services. A detailed report shall be provided indicating the location of any leaks found, photos or diagrams of leak locations, means used to locate the leak and an estimated water loss. Proposal shall include the cost to locate up to two potential or identified leaks outside of the defined survey areas as needed while the field team is on site.
