Description

Main components of work involve the completion of an approximately 0.5-mile trail that is a combination of limestone screenings and asphalt surfaced trail, within St. James Farm Forest Preserve, located in Warrenville, Illinois. The major components of work include 1,870 CY of total earthwork; placement of 1,900 SY of limestone screenings at 2" depth; placement of 850 SY of hot-mix asphalt with asphaltic emulsion slurry coat, and placement of 725 CY of aggregate base (CA-6). Additional components of work includes, installation of District standard VI Sign and other miscellaneous amenities; installation of 4,350 LF of erosion control barrier and 1,150 LF temporary fence; installation of 90 LF of RCP culverts and 2 sub-surface drainage seams; installation, removal, and restoration of stabilized construction entrance; and miscellaneous tree removals and pruning. Restoration component of the job include, seeding approximately 1.35-acres of trail shoulders and disturbed areas; and installation of 1,700 SY of erosion control blanket and 1-acre
