Description | The University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for a maintenance contract for mechanical equipment and temperature controls at the University of Maryland, Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research (IBBR), located at 9600 Gudelsky Drive in Rockville, Maryland. This work shall include equipment and systems located in the buildings 1A, 1B, and 2. Requests for clarification or additional information must be made in writing to the Procurement Officer (Elliott1@umd.edu) and received at the Issuing Office no later than Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 1 p.m. EDT. Such requests should contain the following: QUESTIONS: RFP #138139. Only written communications relative to the procurement shall be considered. Hard copy, facsimile and electronic mail are acceptable methods for submission of questions. It is incumbent upon the Contractor to verify University receipt of their questions. All questions will be answered in writing. Both questions and answers will be distributed, without identification of the inquirer(s), to all Contractors who are on record with the Procurement Officer as having received this RFP. No oral communications can be relied upon for proposal purposes. To the extent that a question causes a change to any part of this RFP, an amendment shall be issued addressing such. The contract term shall be a period of one (1) year from date of award. The University reserves the right to extend this contract for four (4) additional one (1) year periods with the same terms and conditions and rates adjusted annually to reflect actual changes in wages and Consumer Price Index shifts but no increase in contractor overhead and profit. Contract prices will remain firm for each contract period. If equipment is added or deleted during any contract period, the contractor will be required to submit a proposal to the University. The University reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal. If a proposal is accepted the University will issue a Change Order to the contract reflecting the addition or deletion. The object of this RFP is to award one (1) contract to the lowest price technically acceptable proposal. In order for the Contractor to be considered technically acceptable, they must meet all of the technical requirements and business requirements as specified in this solicitation. |
