Description

The project consists of constructing a new non-potable water steel storage tank at the Bayo Booster Station near the Los Alamos Composting Facility. The new tank will provide additional storage of up-to approximately 833,000 gallons of non-potable water for nonpotable water use. In addition, modifications will be made to an existing non-potable concrete water storage tank is currently located at the site and holds approximately 190,000 gallons. Both tanks are filled with effluent water from the Los Alamos wastewater treatment plant for non-potable use for irrigation of Los Alamos Golf Course, Los Alamos Middle School, North Mesa Ball Fields, and North Mesa Soccer Fields. Work shall be staged to allow the existing tank, piping and booster station to operate until November 1, 2021.
