West River Water Treatment Plant Improvements Project

The project also consists of improvements at the West River Water Treatment Plant, including: 1. Construction of a three-train dissolved air filtration (DAF) system; associated influent and effluent connections to existing Water Treatment Plant; and new building for DAF system with associated electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and site work. 2. Replacement of existing sodium hypochlorite disinfection system with new on-site chlorine generation system including brine tank, two on-site chlorine generation units, two sodium hypochlorite day tanks, chemical metering pumps, water softener, and associated electrical and piping. 3. Replacement of filter underdrains and media. 4. Replacement of two rapid mixers. 5. Electric service upgrades including new transformer, new generator, and new switchgear.
