Description | The Project includes installation of approximately 12,500 linear feet (LF) of 16-inch diameter ductile iron pipe or nominal 18-inch diameter HDPE pipe (depending on which bid option is selected); an aboveground creek crossing with 12-inch diameter ductile iron pipe in 24-inch diameter steel casing; valves, vaults, and appurtenances; surface restoration; and other miscellaneous work required to complete the Project as shown on the Drawings and as specified. The Work may include three Additive Alternates that includes the installation of approximately 13,300 LF of 2-inch conduit and 22 communication vaults; installation, termination, and testing of approximately 14,800 LF of fiber optic cable; and other miscellaneous work. All work shall be substantially completed within 250 calendar days and the completion date for all work and readiness for final payment within 280 calendar days after the date the Contract Times commence. The Contractor will be subject to the Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates for Public Works Projects, EEO, Washington State Contracting Laws, etc. All Contractors participating in the Work must be licensed in the State of Washington to conduct business. This Project is being funded in part through USDA Rural Development and Washington State Public Works Board program with state funds. American Iron and Steel Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials. The following waivers apply to this Contract: De Minimis, Minor Components, and Pig iron and direct reduced iron. Est. Value Notes: $3.8 to $4.2 Million Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
