Description | HO0320D1 The City of Davenport is proposing rehabilitation of one single family home located at 228 S Hancock Ave Davenport, IA 52802. This property will be rehabbed with federal funding and once complete will be sold to a qualifying home owner. The City is requesting General Contractors to submit qualifications, pricing, references, schedule and scope of work summary for the rehabilitation. Also as a reminder, appliances will be furnished by the City and will be installed outside of the contract with the exception of the range hood which will be provided by the City, but the installation should be included in your bid. Also, we are looking for standard quality materials for cabinets, flooring, decking, and counters. Due to project regulations, granite, hardwood floors, composite decking, or custom cabinets will not be accepted. All inquiries must be submitted in writing via email to purchasing@davenportiowa.com or faxed to 563-888-2079. All inquiries shall contain the individual's name and contact information, and be titled "Rehab Work For City Property at 228 S Hancock Ave". The deadline for inquiries is 5:00 PM/CT on Friday, June 9, 2023. Inquiries received by the deadline will be posted with answers on the City's website on or before 5:00 PM/CT on Monday, June 12, 2023, with the bid documents. Bid Guarantee equivalent to 5% of the bid price in the form of bid bond or certified check. Bid Guarantee must be supplied as part of the response to the RFP Performance Bond equivalent to 100% of the contract price. Payment Bond equivalent to 100% of the contract price. Permits are required, but no permit fees are required, due to property being city owned. Liquidated Damages are in place. Set # of days is 365, dollar amount is $175.00 a day. Lead Abatement Contractor License is required to be eligible to submit an RFP on this project If at any time during the contract period the City determines that service is unsatisfactory, the City reserves the right to cancel the contract. The contractor will be notified of such action in writing and the cancellation will be effective immediately. If cancellation of contract is made, the City may offer another contractor the opportunity to provide the described services |
