Description | The Project consists of construction of a new splash pad and park improvements, including sidewalk, curb & gutter, brick pavers, playground equipment, and related work. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds either a Georgia State Contractor's License, Georgia State Utility Contractor's License, or qualifications with the Georgia Department of Transportation for similar work, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43 14 and 43-41. Failure to provide the bidder's license or qualification number on the outside of the sealed proposal will result in rejection of the bid. If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will award the Contract on the basis of the base bid alone. All required federal, state, and local permits as well as required easements or rights of way for the project have not been obtained. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time of 90 calendar days. Owner shall make progress payments on account of the Contract Price on the basis of Contractor's Applications for Payment submitted once per month as provided in the General Conditions. Bidders must make positive efforts to use small and minority owned businesses. Bidders must comply with 41 CFR 60 4, in regard to affirmative action, to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goals set forth in 41 CFR 60 4.Bidders must comply with the President's Executive Order No. ll246, as amended, prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex or national origin; Title VI of the Civil Rights Acts of l964; the Davis Bacon Act; the Anti Kickback Act; and the Contract Work Hours Standards Act. Contractor shall pay Owner $_250.00_ for each day that expires after the time (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) specified in Paragraph 4.02.A above for Substantial Completion until the Work is substantially complete. Completion of Remaining Work: After Substantial Completion, if Contractor shall neglect, refuse, or fail to complete the remaining Work within the Contract Time (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) for completion and readiness for final payment, Contractor shall pay Owner $_300.00_ for each day that expires after such time until the Work is completed and ready for final payment |
