Snow Plowing at the Housing Developments

1. Snow plowing proposals must be submitted on a per hour basis. 2. Snow plowing will consist of any/or all roadways, parking, walkways and/or any other designated areas as determined by the Authority; and at any/or all of the Authority’s projects. 3. Snow plowing will be on an "on-call" basis at the discretion of the Authority, and will commence upon notification of the Authority's maintenance personnel. 4. Back-up equipment must be available in the event of a break down. Back-up equipment information must be submitted on bid form. 5. Sand with ice melting compound must be applied to all driveways and parking areas upon icy conditions. Acceptable ice melting compounds are Ice Melt, Puremelt or equal. If salt, please state type and percentage 6 Damage to berms and landscape etc must be repaired by spring to satisfaction of MHA 7. Snow must be removed from all walkways including residents’ patios & walkways at the Riverview and Nemasket Developments 8. Plowing must be done when two (2) inches of snow. Plowing should be initiated by 7am in order to provide access for emergency vehicles 9. Telephone numbers must be provided so that notification may be given at any time for plowing. 10. Minimum equipment specifications are as follows: 4 Wheel Drive vehicle or an approved equal • 6' to 8' plow or an approved equal.
