Description | The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as VDOT) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide equipment, labor, materials and traffic control to perform demolition and removal of existing span lock systems and furnish and install new span lock systems on the Benjamin Harrison Bridge over James River in Prince George County, Virginia. No prebid conference will be held for this solicitation Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Kim Dobra at Kim.Dobra@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM on August 24, 2023. The bid opening will begin promptly at the time indicated. At the start of the conference the VDOT Representative will conduct a roll call to identify the individuals participating on the call. Participants will be requested to provide their names, company and contact information during the roll call. If you are unable to access the teleconference at the scheduled time please contact the Contract Officer via email and a bid reading will be provided. The provisions of 2.2-4342 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, shall be applicable to the inspection of bids received This public body does not discriminate against faith-based organizations in accordance with the Code of Virginia, 2.2-4343.1 or against a bidder because of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, political affiliation, or veteran status or any other basis prohibited by state law relating to discrimination in employment. Faith-based organizations may request that the issuing agency not include subparagraph 1.f in General Terms and Condition C. Such a request shall be in writing and explain why an exception should be made in that invitation to bid. |
