Description | 2023 ROW Miscellaneous Package C Work to include improvements or repairs to streets, curbs, alley approaches, sidewalks, sidewalk connections, and RISK accident. All restorations are to follow ADA compliance. All in accordance with the Bidding Documents prepared by Right of Way for the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Contact information and submittal procedures for such questions are as follows: Bradley Lewis may be reached by telephone at (260) 427-2114 or through email at bradley.lewis@cityoffortwayne.org. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days to allow review of bids before announcing award of contract. The successful bidder may be required to furnish a satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount no less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids for failure to comply with applicable laws and/or with the Instructions to Bidders. The Board also reserves the right to waive any defect in any bid. All in accordance with the Bidding Documents as prepared by Right of Way for the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana. No bid will be accepted from, or contract awarded to any person, firm, or corporation that is in arrears to the City, upon any debt or contract, or who has failed to execute, in whole or in part in a satisfactory manner, any contract with the City; or, who is a defaulter as to surety or otherwise, upon any obligation to the City. EBE Retainage Requirements - If the Contractor is in compliance with the provisions of the construction Contract the Owner will make payments for such work performed and completed. Pursuant to Executive Order 90-01 (amended 5-8-06); the Owner will retain five percent (5%) of the Contract Price to ensure compliance with the EBE participation requirements. Upon final inspection and acceptance of the Work, and determination by the Fort Wayne Board of Public Works that the Contractor has made a good faith effort to subcontract ten percent (10%) of the Contract Price to emerging business enterprises, the Contractor will be paid in full. |
