Description

Full Service Elevator Maintenance Contract The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified elevator maintenance contractors interested in providing offers for a Full Service Elevator Maintenance Contract for approximately 8 locations with the option of adding more over the lifetime of the contract. This is not a Screening Information Request (SIR) or Request for Proposal (RFP). See Section III for documentation required to be submitted and evaluated to determine which vendors receive the solicitation. The maintenance of the elevator plant shall be in accordance with the latest edition of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) A17.1 -Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators and (ASME) A18.1-Safety Standard for Platform lift and Stairway Chairlift. SECTION II- CONTRACT TYPE AND EVALUATION CRITERIA FAA intends to award a single award, but will keep the option to issue multiple awards. This project is unrestricted, and will be solicited under full and open competition to those vendors who meet the criteria listed in Section III. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors. The small business size standard is: $19.5 Million. Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price. Award will be made to the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) offeror(s). SECTION III- GO/NO GO CRITERIA The initial information submitted will be evaluated on a Go/No-Go basis. Offerors must receive a Go on all of the following criteria to be considered a viable offeror and receive the solicitation. Ability to perform Elevator maintenance and all associate work and provide on-going preventative maintenance on numerous types of elevators. Five (5) years of experience performing elevator maintenance at a 97% operational availability at (5) different locations simultaneously. Projects must be similar in size and scope and must be FAA, or other Federal, State, Airport Authority, or commercial organizations, acting as the prime contractor. Indicate the operational availability, contracting agency/organization, contract number or project identifier, point of contact, email address, phone number, and size and scope on the Past Experience History document (Attachment #1). Offerors are required to submit the following documents to be determined if eligible to receive a copy of the solicitation: Confirmation that service can be provided on numerous types of elevators at the applicable locations stated above. Past Experience History Document (Attachment #1) - 5 different Locations Document Security Notice to Prospective Offerors (Attachment #2) The information provided will also be used as part of the responsibility determination. Please place "Attention: MEM District Full Elevator Maintenance Contract Request for SIR" in the subject line of your email. Requests received after this date and time will not be honored. Failure to submit all required information will deem the request for solicitation as non-responsive. NOTE: Contractors must have active registration in System for Award Management (SAM), formerly the Central Contractor Registration (CCR,) before award can be made. Contractors can register at www.sam.gov. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
