Description | General: The Loch Raven VA Medical Center requests quarterly cleaning/flushing of x680 strainers in the boiler heating loop and 120 mixing valves/strainers in the domestic water loop located throughout the campus at 3900 Loch Raven Blvd. Baltimore, Md. About the site: The Loch Raven VA Community Living & Rehabilitation Center specializes in providing rehabilitation and recreation therapy for our recovering veterans. The main building also provides hospice, nursing home care and care for patients with Alzheimer's. Period of Performance: The period of performance for this contract to begin on APRIL1, 2023 and terminate on MARCH 31, 2024 provided materials can be purchased without long lead times. This contract can be terminated at any time for the government's convenience. Scope of Work: Boiler Heating Loop: Contractor to supply all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, and materials necessary to perform strainer cleaning and flushing on the heating loop in multiple buildings on the Loch Raven Medical Center campus. A detailed list will be provided by the facilities and engineering supervisor located in building #4. This list will be used to validate compliance and verification. Cleaning for boiler heating loop strainers should be as follows for Building #1 (x350), Building #4 (x20), Building #5 (x200), Building #6 (x10) & building #7 (x100): o Inspections are to be quarterly upon award of contract. This inspection interval was determined by the ongoing water quality. o Water temperatures at the strainers, inlet/outlet of a coil (VAV) shall be documented for record. o Contractor will identify and document strainers associated with VAV box locations identified by maintenance supervisor. o Most strainers are located at the room level in the drop ceiling in each building. Some strainers are located in maintenance areas and boiler rooms. All areas accessible through drop ceilings, open locations, or access panels. o Strainers vary in size between 1 1/4 " - 4" in various locations Questions Due by 3/13/2023 1:00 AM EST Strainer Maintenance Loch Raven VAMC.
