Blue Mile Utility and Streetscape Phase 1

The project includes utility, and streetscape upgrades along South Main Street / U.S. 301 from the Fair Road intersection, south to the Tillman Road intersection; and utility upgrades and roadway improvements along Kennedy Street from South Main Street /U.S. 301 intersection, east to the Tillman Road intersection. Utility upgrades will include the replacement/installation of approximately 2,833-lf of storm sewer, 2,500-lf of water main, 827-lf of sewer main, and 2,650-lf of natural gas main. Electrical and communication utility upgrades will be provided by each utility owner. Streetscape and roadway improvements will consist of roadway milling and resurfacing, new curb & gutter, standard tapered driveways, sidewalks, stamped concrete crosswalks, two bus stops with shelters, landscaping, and ornamental signage.
