Description

The general description of the Scope of Work (SOW) for the project is to provide the City with a replacement rooftop unit #6 located at the Wixom City Hall, 49045 Pontiac Trail and provide the City with components including serial numbers, belt sizes, filter types and sizes. 1. Contractor is responsible for the removal and disposal of the existing rooftop unit in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, and the contractor will provide all the necessary equipment, labor and materials to safely accomplish said removal and disposal. 2. The contractor will provide all crane and rigging services required. 3. The contractor will recover and dispose of the refrigerant from the existing rooftop unit per EPA guidelines. 4. Contractor will furnish and install a new small package VAV rooftop unit, 8.5 ton. 5. Rooftop unit must provide a minimum of 3 stages of cooling/ ultra high efficient. 6. Provide a minimum of 170,000 btu output of gas heat with minimum of 2 stages/ high heat. 7. The unit must have variable frequency drive capable of speed control based on duct static pressure. 8. The unit must have BACNET communication. 9. The unit must be installed to integrate with Carrier DDC control IVU system. 10. Provide a dual sense enthalpy control economizer, smoke detector, and curb adapter. 11. Contractor is responsible for all associated roofing required to install the new unit on existing roof curb and provide a weather-tight installation of the new unit. 12. Contractor is responsible for all sheet metal, insulation and associated roofing required for reinstallation of ductwork. 13. All installations will be in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and specifications. 14. Reconnect natural gas to new rooftop unit in accordance with manufacture’s specifications. Gas piping shall be schedule 40 black steel with screwed fittings and painted with rustproof coating. 15. Contractor shall install condensate piping in accordance with manufacture’s specifications. Discharge condensate away from service areas of the unit and direct towards roof drains. 16. All power wiring must be performed by a licensed journeyman electrician or licensed master electrician. 17. Contractor shall connect all control wiring from existing to the new unit. 18. Contractor is responsible for the startup and commissioning of the rooftop unit. The system must be fully functional and operational after installation. 19. Contractor is responsible to obtain all necessary permits and inspections through the Building Department at no cost. All work will be performed in accordance with current applicable building, plumbing, electrical and HVAC codes. 20. All work must be performed by a licensed and insured contractor
