Book Cliffs Herbicide Application

Location and Description: Services in this contract provide for noxious weed herbicide treatment into multiple units previously treated for pinyon and juniper removal within Monument Ridge area. Work under this contract is located the general Book Cliffs area in Uintah County, Utah. The units range from approximately 55 miles South of Vernal, Utah. Elevations range from 5,500-8,000 feet within the project site. The slope within the project ranges from 0-30 % with the majority less than 10%. The treatment site consists of 3,385 acres. In 2020 the area was inventoried for weeds with Bull thistle being the most prominent weed species. Due to the large amount of branches, limbs, and trunks in the project area, units will require herbicide to be applied without driving or flying the herbicide over the target area. See table below for a summary of units and acres. Contractor is required to supply all chemicals and equipment for the contract. Acreage: 3,385 acres. Acreage is determined with computer software and is two-dimensional. It will be the responsibility of the bidder to bid accordingly.
